General Information
Naval Kindergarten INS Dronacharya was founded in the year 1980, under the patron ship of Capt. Gupteshwar Rai, the then Commanding Officer of INS Dronacharya. The school started functioning in a temporary barracks with the strength of mere 17 students. Later, in 1986 the school was shifted to the Bristow House, within the unit premises. With the increase in strength and in order to facilitate more infrastructure growth, the school was shifted to its present location in 2001.
The years ahead witnessed rapid growth in terms of strength and infrastructure of the school. Qualitative and quantitative progress of this institution ensured name and fame to this school as one of the most reputed Kindergarten in Kochi.
The school caters the elementary education to the kids of Service personnel as well as the local populace. The school had a massive strength of 280 students in the academic year 2018-19.
The school functions under the aegis of the Naval Education Society, New Delhi and the Headquarters Southern Naval Command, Kochi. The school is administered be a management committee headed by the Commanding Officer, INS Dronacharya.
School Objectives
Naval Kindergarten Dronacharya functions with a mission to nurture children's holistic development, provide ample opportunities to explore his/her talents through an integrated structure of curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
Our school is moving ahead on the path of excellence to effectively take up for coming challenges with the team of well trained, highly motivated and dedicated teachers.
